Patio laying opinions for a smallish patio.?

I am laying a small patio about 1.6 m wide and 9 m long. The very hard sub soil has been dug out and generally there is a hardcore base of 10cm to 20 cm depending on where the drainage pipes are for the property,it has all been levelled out with chippings to fill between the hardcore base.I was going to cement the patio slabs with domino 5 lumps of cement,it has worked very well before.What do you think and why.
