Welcome home present for my airman??? what do you think?

My boyfriend is coming home at the end of august from his deployment....I want to give him a great coming home present aside from myself lol... I was thinking a new BBQ grill and accessories to go with it...and maybe some patio furniture. Before he left he was talking about wanting to get a new grill and fix up the patio in our backyard so we could relax outside and enjoy the weather when it starts to cool off and grill some steaks....I think its a great idea but my mom seems to think thats overboard lol.I just want to do something for him that he isn't expecting, and he would never expect me to have bought him a big new grill and have the patio fixed up. Good idea...or bad?
